What are you doing right now??

I have to tear myself away from my wood shop for a while today. Mrs Greener and I are heading to our favorite Thai restaurant in Pensacola for lunch today to celebrate our anniversary (which is actually Saturday). We are celebrating 46 years together. 4 kids and 9 grandkids, three great Labrador Retrievers, three horses, two goats, countless cats along the way, not to mention 42 years as a LEO and 6 years of deployments with the reserve after 9/11. How she has put up with me for that long is a study in tolerance, patience, and a great sense of humor. She qualifies for sainthood. I am a lucky guy.
Happy anniversary Hayes! May the two of you have many more!!

Hi,

That is fabulous. May God continue to richly bless your union. ❤️

Thank you for your indulgence,

Congrats on another anniversary, and I pray far from the last!

I thought there was a thread for “what are we watching”.
I could not find so this thread will work.
We watched this over the weekend.
I remembered where I was and what I was doing when D.E. died. Just like 9/11, and just after midnight on Nov. 9, 2016.
Every generation has their greatest; Dale was the one that stood out above all others!

Agreed. I remember it too.
I was sitting in the same spot as I type this now, watching the race.
I was telling my wife that when you see the accident it’s hard to believe that’s the one that took his life. He had been through much worse.

New firing pin came in today for my marlin lever action 39m, old style pin. When i got the gun, about 35 years ago it came with a williams peep sight that mounts on the side of the receiver. i like the stock open sights better so i had to get 2 receiver sight dummy screws.I also got a rear sight base. Problem is they didn't have the rear sight elevator Marlin Part# 320242 or the rear sight folding leaf part # 202242. She ain't done yet but im down to the short rows.

Off I go to the hospital to have my next total knee replacement surgery done. I'll pretty much be stuck at home for at least the next six weeks, other than for physical therapy three times a week. Already have the truck parked and stored away for that time, as I won't be able to climb up in it for a while. Sucks that I can't have my coffee this morning.
