that is some dumb dumbs out there, best thing is no people are hurt right
at the end of our long area...300 yards are COWS and LOTS of em
at least once a year one gets moooowed over by a rifle
the even scarier part is the 100 yard range aims down hill into a ravine..and trees YEAH, pretty safe for 99% of shooters
its about a 20 foot drop from firing line to the target.
but if you are even 10 feet above that ravine berm, its only a short 1000 yrds to a 2 lane highway and a few houses
our rifle areas get closed often to sort the issue, cameras have a few times now caught the culrpits which promptly lost their membership for life
1000 yards of trees is hard to push a bullet through, but yet jokers do the up and over..
winter plans are now a 20 foot wall of dirt, cross ties etc at the 100 yard line and close the longer one until some sort of qualification can be made for a shooter desiring the 300 yard range. plus observer of sorts
i figure it will be a tunnel like thing of tires and taller wall of dirt , etc
