What are you doing right now??

I just made it back home from a trip to see my VA VSO. I wanted to check up on an ongoing claim I had. And to submit an intent to file form on starting another claim on another disability I have going on. My VSO told not to even bother with the new claim. While I haven't received it yet, my VSO (they can see information on your claim before you can) told me in the near future I will be getting official notification from the VA that I have finally reached 100% permanent & total disability. I've been fighting for this for years. It's been a tough battle to get here because I also have many disabling injuries from my commercial diving work accident that almost killed me. None of those injuries could be used in my VA case, as they were not service connected. But if I had been active duty when that diving accident happened (underwater explosion) I would have had 100% disability from that. This is a huge weight lifted from my shoulders. Disabled veterans know well what 100% P&T means!

I was told I had sleep apnea that was related to another issue, and a vein issue, so I met the VSO last week, my case is in stage 3 with appoints scheduled later this month. I think the door is going to slam shut soon, so if you have an issue go for it now! I always felt like I didn't want to get into a VA disability thing, leave that for others, but I was wrong, we earned the scars!

Originally my sleep apnea claim was denied. I appealed it. I truly though it would take years (as that is the case with most appeals). I won my appeal (surprisingly) in a little over a year. Sleep apnea is a tough one to get.

My regular doc had me take the sleep test, I had 54 issues, that's a tad over the 16 to qualify, so I'm told that's a slam dunk, we'll see.

So, just had lunch, now to the garage to clean my "new to me" Polaris RZR 1000 that I took for the old pontoon boat that I can't really use.

Actually, in most cases, back pay is only paid back to the day you initially filed your claim. But it still can be a nice chunk of change, especially if it has taken years for you claim to play out. I will say that in the last six months, things have been moving along a whole lot faster than the 4 years before that. You can connect the dots about that on what I mean about who has been running the show.

My initial claim took about a year was rated at 80% got back pay for that year. Took about another year to get to 100%.

Can iget you to clean under the seats
No. 50% of my car stereo speakers live there now.

I don't want to do any cutting on my car so this is as good as rear audio is going to get. Still better than the factory mono speaker. Which is also being replaced with: https://www.jegs.com/i/RetroSound/700/R-410UK/10002/-1

But it all has to wait for this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0F1G9Y3KK/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=A1FOBXBVVGDFD8&psc=1

and this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UW2JIEK/ref=ewc_pr_img_9?smid=AXAWISPXLVG6V&psc=1

One day I will have a center console and will achieve the one thing Ford never meant for any car to have in 1967. Cup holders.

Just got up from a nap...now I won't be able to sleep tonight but oh, well. The smoke outside is brutal. They had the shipping doors open at work and my eyes started burning. They never stopped until I got home and put some eye drops in them. Then I laid down and the rest is history.

It's only 73 degrees but I can't open the windows or turn on the air exchanger...the smoke is too thick. The wind is from the north, thanks Canada... 😒

Up early to give Maggie her meds and can't go back to sleep. Will take her for a walk early this morning before it gets too hot. I need to wash the car today also before the heat. Going to new gun store in town today. I hear they only display about 40 guns. Not like the other place where i used to work. He had a total of 500 rifles and handguns on display at any given time. We'll see how it goes.
