Listening to David Gilmour’s latest album Luck and Strange. I’ve been fortunate to see him and Pink Floyd live many times, most recently last year in LA with one of my closest friends. The man has been one of the greatest creative influences in my life and in my house, there is no greater soloist.

Just read an interesting thing involving Dave yesterday. Apparently he is in possession of the picture Julian Lennon drew that inspired his father to write Lucy in the sky with diamonds. Unfortunately Julian doesn’t recognize the picture and says it’s a fake and that the real one was most likely thrown away long ago.

2 weeks post surgery my surgeon has ordered me to stay in the A/C for 2 more weeks. The dogs agree. He doesn't want me sweating all over the surgical site. Outpatient physical therapy starts Monday.
Looking out my window it is beautiful, but dang it is hot. The egrets and herons and various other birds are staying close to the lake.

Nothing. Is that a bad thing?😬
When I was a young agent in my unit in the early 70's I was put in charge of maintaining and organizing the crime scene and evidence collection equipment. Each item had its own case, fingerprint supplies in one, casting and molding in another, camera cases, lighting, etc. I went through everything meticulously and re-supplied and labeled everything and had shelving units stacked with gear.

I had a couple old broken cases left over. I was struck with an idea. The TV series Nightstalker was popular at the time. I started collecting werewolf and vampire gear. A cross, a mirror, some wolfbane, a jar of "holy water", some silvertip .38 ammo, a sharpened wooden stake and mallet, a reporter's notebook. I labeled the case "VAMPIRE AND WEREWOLF INVESTIGATION KIT".

We got a chuckle out ofvthe whole thing and after a while forgot about it.

About 6 months later we got an inspection from our HQ. The lead inspector was a serious guy and later went on to be a general. The paranormal kit was still on the shelf. There was panic in my boss' eyes when he opened the case. Then the inspector started laughing his *** off and asked me for a briefing on how to use the kit. I saw the general years later and he remembered me, not for solving some big case, but for the spoof.
