Well, the range session was mostly good.
Got my 507 dialed on the Prodigy; then ran it with a variety of JHP…not a single issue, even one mag that mixed a several leftover rounds of various weights/pressures (I thought jumping from a 115gr+P+ to a 147gr would cause an issue…nope). Interesting to see how little difference there was in POA/POI between the loads, but I also dumped the mag in just over 4 seconds (20 rounds) at 7 yards…all on target, about a 6” group. It’ll do…cleared for a defensive pistol.
The Legion SAO ran great, but..I forgot that Sig uses a little torx wrench to adjust windage & elevation, and I didn’t bring it along. Will have to zero it next time, it was shooting 6” low at 7 yards. Still, by using a little inspired elevation (put the bottom of the 32 MOA outside ring bisecting the middle of the gong), I was able to ring steel at 25 yards without trying too hard. Ran 50 rounds through it, all good. It’s a keeper.
FN502 was a hoot. Found out it really likes premium .22 loads for accuracy…that’s a fun little pistol; highly recommend one, much better than the Sig P322 I briefly had.
Good day at the range.
