What are you doing right now??

Thats what happened to the BLM land we used to shoot on. People been using it for over 50 years without issue. Then 3 years back someone built a house bordering the BLM land. He was a ex-cop from someplace back east and started complaining about noise. Complaining about ricochet's hitting his house. Someone starting lacing dirt road to access the area with roofing nails and tires being flattened. It came to point that sheriffs were sick and tired responding to calls there. Road was blocked off and sign telling us area was closed. Only reason I know about him was because one time I was shooting there and he confronted me and told me my rounds were hitting his house and he was a ex-cop and I could get into trouble. I told him I was an ex-cop and that he should know better than to accuse someone of doing something when I was 180 degrees in the opposite direction of his house. Any who, I called sheriff and when they showed up they could see he was full of BS. He just wanted the area closed. Since all this has happened his house has been a target for all kinds of mischief. This is why I had to go join the county range and shoot there. It's about 10 miles from my house but there isn't any BS when you go out there. Just one more thing to put up with being a gun owner in New Mexico.
 
well, took the Rock Island Armory, 22 magnum 1911...this is the one that for the past 3 years, i have won the christmas shooting contest.

did lousy the first target, for 50 rounds, at 25 yards (75 feet away).

did much better, on the second target, at 10 yards.....

i had not shot that gun, since last december when i entered that contest, so it was long over due for a range visit.

anyway, got home, wife waws washing some more clothes and said "there's some water on the floor around the washing machine".

earlier today, i washed the sheets, i mentioned that in a posting above.

no water, no issue(s).

so now, gonna have my boys come over saturday, to tip over the machine to "see" what might be the problem,

hopefully, maybe a cracked hose..??

machine was bought back in 1996, so nearly 30 years ago, maybe rotted hose of some sort..??

might be on the drainage side, like when the tub empties the dirty water, to refill with rinse water..??

i dunno.

if a "simple hose", there is an appliance place online i have bought from before....maybe even Lowes has universal fit hoses..???

but until it gets tipped over...........?????????
 
Just got back from the range. Another beautiful day mid 70’s. Confirmed my scoped AR is zeroed. Shot some defense pistol n rifle, then shot with a friend to wind it up. Wife now putting away meat she ordered from The Butcher Block n I’m cuttin up some flat iron steak to go with the mushrooms in a big pan of beef stroganoff.
 
Made sure everything is put away as a big storm heading our way. Went thru the Halloween decorations and got rid of the really old beat up stuff. Will go cheap this year and check out the dollar store or Walmart. Hope all this rain doesn't drown my grass seeds. Will turn on Amazon on tv to watch the thursday night game. For some reason I like watching this year. I must be getting old and I know I am bored silly most of the time. Hope everyone has an enjoyable evening.
 
Not real pretty, bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, but tastes very good.
