What are you doing right now??

Watching the logging trucks move. They have until about 11AM to move what they can, then the ground starts to get soft. They don’t want to leave huge ruts because it impedes the freeze/thaw cycle and trashes the roads. The truckers up here work according to the weather and the ground and may work for several weeks without a break. Once the spring thaw settles in they will be grounded until things firm up again.

Just relaxing after dinner. The brother in law across the road made street tacos. Very good. The woman and I cleared all the hillside/river bank behind the main house and a little over half behind the spare house. Lots of underbrush, winter creeper ( I cut it off the trees too) and a ton of deadwood and remains of 3 trees I took down and shoved down the hill last year. We now have approximately 250' of accessible riverbank frontage. It sure would be nice if I could get a mini x down there. Have to talk to the son in law about that. I got a probably stupid idea he might want to be involved in. Redneck stuff. :)

Hi,

I had a little dry fire practice on my basement laser range.

I started with the Mantis-X using the XD9 Mod.3.

Then it took me three tries to get 100 points using the Echelon and the G-Sight laser from 30 feet. That Mantis-X helps.

Now Mrs. BassCliff and I are watching Reacher followed by Hometown and TOC.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Make sure you and the SIL enlist someone to hold the beers! 🤪

I need to get this gear... Especially the Blackbeard! I happen to have a smartphone that I don't use that could be my dedicated device for this. (I wouldn't want to be getting calls on it while I'm practicing!)

Gonna make a fresh pot of go juice... Defender Coffee is a pro-2A company that makes the best coffee I've ever had, with the exception of Gevalia back when it was a strictly mail-order subscription service. Defender puts 100% of their profits from every purchase you make into the 2A organization of your choice: GOA, SAF, or FPC (NOT NRA). http://defendercoffee.com

Defender MILITIA Roast - Dark [3x caffeine].png

Today feels like need a kick in the pants, so putting the Militia roast in the machine. I have a 14-cup carafe because I'm a coffee hound.

I was prepared to replace a redbud tree yesterday and looked at it closely. Changed my mind. I cut several of the dead multi-trunks out and straightened the remaining trunk and fertilized. Planted the new pomegranate in another location and added drip lines. We're going to Lowes to get some fake stones to make a ring around it today. The ground is like concrete and I was gassed when done. My back and hip were screaming. CBD cream, heating pad and a few beers made a difference after a few hours. I'm not looking forward to setting steel this week.
