Wished I got that and it reminds me of when I riding across a reservation in Nevada headed for motorcycle races in Carmel CA. at zero dark thirty and hit a pack of Rez dogs. When the sun came up I had plenty of telltale signs of my incounter.

Enjoying my first partial day of retirement. I went into work this morning to start my checkout and was done by 08:30. By 08:37 I had passed through the main gate and was on the freeway headed to my retirement freedom! It reminded me of my last days in the Army and the Marine Corps, never once looking back as I passed through the main gate on my way out. I wish I had thought to throw my old work boots on a power line or a streetlight, but I was more interested in getting the heck out of there! Screw you, Department of Defense! lol Too be fair, I did love my time as a Federal Employee when I was in the National Park Service. One of the best jobs I ever had. But these last 7 or so years with DOD can suck it! lol Now to take the rest of the year off while waiting to have my next total knee replacement surgery.

Congratulations After I retired from the Army I got a job as a GS-8. It was at the Deployment Readiness Processing Center on Fort Hood ( now Fort Cavazo ).
It was a demanding job at times. Other times it was just boring.
After the place got shot up by a radicalized Muslim Army Major I decided I’d had enough. I put in my 30 day notice and walked away from all that BS

Sitting here looking at a blank TV after going to a local Mexican restaurant with the love of my life - Mrs. Sharpshooter (not @KillerFord1977, although he probably qualifies for the title too) wondering if I needed that 3rd mojito as I have to take my dog to her advanced training in 30 minutes.

Just finished nuclear Mexican and I'm winding down scrolling through here. Today was so bizarre I won't even go there. If it wasn't so much like a convection oven outside, I'd be out on the deck. Ah well, I'll go to bed instead. That way I won't wake up in the middle of a thunderstorm...outside.
