What are you doing right now??

Back during my vo-tech time a friend was trying to "teach" me how to pluck a fish and he wanted to show me what his uncle used which was Orange.

I used to rock out all the time when I was a teenager on my girlfriend's neighbor's dad's Kustom Tuck and Roll. That thing was a beast. Really though I taught myself how to plucka da fish on a series of $200 solid state Peavey bass heads who's only redeeming quality was that you could throw them off your roof and they would still work. I'm sure a great number of them are hanging out on the bottoms of lakes along with all those Shure Vocalmaster PA systems. Where they belong.

Hi,

I used to rock out all the time when I was a teenager on my girlfriend's neighbor's dad's Kustom Tuck and Roll. That thing was a beast. Really though I taught myself how to plucka da fish on a series of $200 solid state Peavey bass heads who's only redeeming quality was that you could throw them off your roof and they would still work. I'm sure a great number of them are hanging out on the bottoms of lakes along with all those Shure Vocalmaster PA systems. Where they belong.

It's been forever since I've seen/heard Kustom stuff. In the Las Vegas Guitar Center I ran into this nostalgic rig and just had to take a selfie. We were playing Gilley's during the dark times. We had to get out of the hotel room so the guitar player could get some strings or a pedal or something.

Weird times. But we made it work.

Hi,

I am currently enjoying my post-workout coffee and getting caught with all you ne'er-do-wells. (I mean that in a loving way.) This is my combo gym/laser range.

I usually have a western playing on that little monitor. Mrs. BassCliff will be home this evening. She's cutting short her visit with her Mom. I've already emptied the dishwasher and vacuumed upstairs. After coffee I'll get cleaned up, run to the store, work on some tunes for tonight's worship team rehearsal, and try to finish my chores. I got all my laundry done yesterday after pruning the apple tree, but I still have to vacuum downstairs. A bass player's work is never done. ;)

Tomorrow I get to take the granddaughters to the movies! Yay Grandpa! :)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
