CCI Mini-Mags (below) definitely shot better than the Federal (top) <-- I have shot CCI Mini-mags , the 36 gr H P version , since 1970. I tried several brands before that and a few after switching to the CCIs . I always had failure to fire and jams of all kinds with other brands. The CCIs just keep going without fail.

I shot most of the CCIs from a Winchester 290 semi-auto and a Ruger Single-Six Convertible .

Picked up another sign to add to my collection on

the backyard patio wall. Opie, my white German Shepard, was feeling a little left out. So, I got this in honor of him. But to be honest, he's really not a very good shot. He would rather maul trespassers. I'll put it up tomorrow with the other signs before it gets too hot out.

In hospital with mild heart attack. So far so good more tests in the morning.
My Cardiologist was called into the ER to help diagnose/treat heart problem. Had X-rays, cat scan, chemical stress test and echocardiogram. The tests indicated I probably have heart valve stenosis and will start treatment with ACE Inhibitors. Was given an heart monitor to wear for two weeks. Have to admit it was kinda scary. I'm home now happy to still be kicking. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Glad you are home. Speedy recovery

I can’t argue with you, mini mags have been “bery bery”good to me lol. Wife got good accuracy with 40gr aguila and cci tactical. The thunderbolt was the worse next to the federal value and amer eagle both 36 n 40gr. We actually left (100 rd) on the bench. I have 300 rd of cci standard velocity 40gr to cue up tomorrow. Will let you know what comes out best in these SA Rimfires. Gotta say 2# triggers make a difference tho I set my triggertech at 1.75# for tomorrows outing.

I’m glad to hear you are home and doing well. Steady as she goes, as they say. I hope you make it through this with as little impact on your life as possible. I got a feeling you got this. 😊

So…I got home and was anxious to check the rain gauge from the storm last night.

My neighbor has a rain gauge that has numbers on it, lol, I guess that means I need a new one. Anyway, she told me that their gauge read 4.7 inches. She also told me that DOT closed the interstate at our town heading west. Turns out the “lake” I traversed this morning (sideways, I might add) was a whole lot bigger than I thought. The underpass was flooded and I just caught the north west of it. 😳
Compared to how it started, the rest of the day was a breeze.

Having me a margarita right now. I figured I earned it today. I’m just gonna finish processing the minutiae of my weird day, finish my beverage, and go to bed. Tomorrow is another day. 😎

Today it was 110 on my temp scale in the backyard. Still over 100 degrees. Sitting in the dark watching tv and having the ac try to keep us cool. Maggie just had her evening snack and settling in for the night. A good day for us. Maybe go to range tomorrow to figure out the CC9. Even was thinking of getting a Gen 5 G19 if CC9 doesn't work out. Hope everyone has a good night.
