What are you doing right now??

Good evening!

Mrs. BassCliff and I just got back from the local Irish Fest. It was a good time. There was lots of music and dancing, but no beer until I got home. Blessings to all.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Ahh yes, nothing screams Irish Fest like Miller Lite 😏

(upper left sponsor on scaffolding) I notice those things as a Lite distributor 🧐

Started digging around in the gun room, putting together a range bag for my daughter and myself. She's 23 and never took an interest in firearms until now. Many years ago, she shot my son's 10/22 a little bit, but that was it until recently. Apparently, her boyfriend took her along shooting with some friends, and she did some shooting with a few rifles. Now she wants me to teach her with pistols, so she can later try to impress her boyfriend when he takes her out on another shooting excursion with pistols. I have a Walther P22 that we will start out with on her first trip to the range. I haven't shot it in a few years, so I'll have to give it a quick once over touch up/clean up. I have over 10 magazines for it, and over 5000 rounds of CCI Stingers for it. Those are the only rounds I trust running through the Walther. Eventually, I'll introduce my wife's .380 to the mix. Then on up to 9mm. If she really stays interested in firearms, I'll set her up with some professional training. I hope she stays interested in this and pursues shooting further. She is off from work and school on Tuesday, so that will be the range day for us.

Never too late to get into the firearm game, glad she is wanting to shoot and learn, enjoy your day and mostly have fun

trying to resolve a left ear issue
it keeps filling up with gunk over night and its the on the facing down ear, so no way it should not drain
just did round 2 of the ear flush stuff and yup dried ugly blood soaked skin came out.
WTF
doc says no infection, then why is it happening

this is the deaf ear so even slight changes makes it really deaf and feels like a hollow cave type sound

sucks getting old

Wrapping up the second cup. The weather today will be cloudy and cool, so we will probably head into Stonewall to the Quarry Days festival. They have a beer garden set up just inside the gate, and then vendors selling odds and ends, lots of food vendors, and then the carnival rides. I quit doing rides long ago (although a good roller coaster ride now and then never ceases to remind one of the joys of being alive  😉).

All in all this has been a brief, but much needed vacation from the mundane BS of my workday life. I do miss the peace up here, but it does feel like Canadians have their heads in the sand (not all, by any means). My friends are much like us, just waiting to see what kind of foolishness comes from above and how it plays out. Mainly just living their lives the best they can.

Tomorrow it will be back to my homeland and my 2A rights 😊. Back to the Sunday hustle of laundry and prep for the coming work week. Maybe I'll even get to see the husband, if he gets home before I have to be in bed. I am glad it's only a four hour drive.

Finally got around to putting a couple of new signs up on the back patio. I put these on a different wall from the other signs because I would have had to use a ladder to put them up with the other signs. My knees are healing well and getting stronger, but it is because of my back that I'm not able to use a ladder now. Having surgery on my back at the end of September. Really getting tired of being so crippled. Hopefully this back surgery will take care of some of that.

I tried several jobs after I retired. The work felt good but today’s culture sucks. Most caught up in identity politics and hypersensitive about everything. Can’t even make jokes w/o someone whining. Nowadays, besides watching westerns and martial arts films, you can find us going for short drives to the coast or mountains and spending 1-3x/wk at the range.
Oh to go back to the 50’s growing up in Hawaii going to school barefoot or in flip flops before statehood changed that.
