Up for the day and having my first cup. Will be going back to El Paso this morning to drop my cousin off at the airport. It was really nice to finally meet my family from overseas. It really filled in all the blanks. My husky will be up soon wanting breakfast and we go for the walk early today. Life will go back to normal. I really do wish I was 20 years younger!

i dunno, seem that i recall that being true a time or two over the years.

so...now i gotta get busy in the next few days, and go buy sheets of plastic, maybe drop cloths, so we can seal up some of our windows...they are drafty, and well...too expensive to replace, due to, in my neighborhood, being a Historic one at that....AALL outside work done on the houses here...??

just got back from shopping and a visit to the family gravesite, as i check on that monthly.

now taking a quick break before i go out and wash the cars..

no rain expected for at least the next 32 minutes.

after that, i dunno, the ground is saturated from all the downpours yesterday, maybe i'll reload some 9mm, the Everglade bullets arrived the other day.
 
liking the false fall the last few days
but its sept is just hours away and i know it going to go back to hot hot for a few weeks
at least its making the pecan tree hurry up and start the finishing off off of the pecans
crop will be low this year, the spring HARSH weather blew off most of the fertilization stringers
but hey its FREAKING NICE out now (y)

we have lots of road pizza here..

thanks to the spring rains, day in and day out, and the over abundance of acorns, chestnuts, and human nuts.

squirrels, squirrels every where.

can't go too far with out running over the rodents, or run over thier dead bodies...



"thump-thump" goes the squirrels body as you run over one...or 2, or 3, all in a row....
 
Had a good day at the range yesterday. Got the SA Rimfire’s dialed in, easily shooting 1” groups. Triggertech set at 1.5#. Shoots like a dream now. On the 9mm from 5’, we are routinely shooting .98’s on the one ups and 1.20’s on the doubles. Wife coming along post cancer and beating me by tenths of a second. Love that girl!
