Finishing up my second cup. The husband wants me to go into Fargo with him. We need a new router, as the one we have is many years old and is "no longer supported". This means I better get moving, as I have a venison roast to get into my Crockpot. Good thing I got my chores done yesterday .

The husky got her bath this morning. Usually she fights us but this time she walked into the new shower and it was magic. No fuss, washed and rinsed in 15 minutes and I think Maggie actually liked it. We then went out to the exchange on base and purchased a couple of bath rugs for the bathroom and a new pair of 5.11 pants for me. Now just watching the Giants and Philly on tv. So far a good day.

Had a fall off a ladder last night think I damaged my prosthetic left hip. Wife is urging me to go to the ER gonna try to wait till Monday to see my Orthopedic surgeon. Having some pain taking Gabapentin and using a walker. Pretty sure my range visits will be on hold really hate that.

Having fired 500 or so rounds through it, I made the leap to the Springfield TRP CC this morning as my EDC. Headed out to the skeet range after feeding critters and got one round of skeet in before the rain. Picked up a box of chicken wings from Publix and now hanging out with dogs watching videos

I have to say the lighter 1911 is a joy to carry. I love my full size 1911's but they are just so dang heavy.

I have none of my side of the family living here in Texas. The first year I did Thanksgiving with my wife's family, it was all Tex-Mex. The wife's family is Caucasian. And it's been that way every year since. The wife told me her family was poor when she was growing up. They grew up on a lot of wild game my father-in-law had hunted all year long. They used to live way out in the boonies, and he hunted whatever the family needed year long. They grew very sick of all the turkey he used to bring home from his hunts. And they also grew to hate venison. So, no turkey during the holidays for me. Sometimes my wife will surprise me with a traditional turkey dinner in the middle of the year, since she knows I sometimes miss my turkey dinner! lol
