My family is Hispanic. Thanksgiving will be Tamales and the like

I have none of my side of the family living here in Texas. The first year I did Thanksgiving with my wife's family, it was all Tex-Mex. The wife's family is Caucasian. And it's been that way every year since. The wife told me her family was poor when she was growing up. They grew up on a lot of wild game my father-in-law had hunted all year long. They used to live way out in the boonies, and he hunted whatever the family needed year long. They grew very sick of all the turkey he used to bring home from his hunts. And they also grew to hate venison. So, no turkey during the holidays for me. Sometimes my wife will surprise me with a traditional turkey dinner in the middle of the year, since she knows I sometimes miss my turkey dinner! lol

No way would I kill a pet for any feast. We get our turkeys from HEB and their suppliers do the processing.

Raised a coupla geese once upon a time for a big Christmas dinner I had planned on hosting. They would follow me on my walks all over the property along with the cat and the dog. Had to have a friend kill them for the dinner.

Hi,

This Steelers/Packers game is turning out to be a pretty good one. These seem like two well-balanced teams but Pittsburgh has lost a couple of injured players. We'll see if Rogers can beat his old team. Last quarter just starting, Steelers are up by 5 but Packers are first and goal.
