Gennaro Angiulo was the Boston boss and part of the Patriarca crime family. He lived 20mins away from where I grew up. I helped this guy I knew in the late 90s on occasion set up event tents and we put up tents at his house for a couple of 4th of July parties but he was locked up then. Whitey Bulger of the Winterhill gang is part of the reason Gennaro got caught. In a weird twist of fate I've crossed paths with Kevin Weeks who was Whitey Bulgers enforcer from the Winterhill gang and a bunch of other guys from Southie and played paintball with them once in a chance encounter.
