Up early with a cup. Maggie will wake up soon and my day will begin. Nothing planned for today. Just a quiet day. It's only going to be in the 50's today so at least the weather will feel like fall. Range closed today and tomorrow. I just might put up the Christmas tree. Makes me think of happier times.

well...surprise..surprise...

wife got up before me at about 4 AM....!!

Jesus H. Crow.......!!!!!

she made us both a huge breakfast......again, another surprise, but i know she has an ulterior motive.....

she started making/baking her pies, and i "got elected" (that ulterior motive) to KP duty..

i got dish pan hands now....i might not be able to shoot for a month now.

apple, custard, and her own pumpkin recipe pies........ 2 of each.......6 pies in total.....maybe i miscounted, one seems to be missing.....??

she is nice to me though.............she "allows me" to inhale the aromas......


but she is walking around the house with her butcher knife............looking for that missing pie..........
 
First walk in. Really quiet when it's dark outside. I see some neighbors turned on their Christmas lights last night. Mine will go on Friday night. Wife has last day of work this week. She works at Holloman AFB commissary and she says it will probably be very busy there today. Yesterday most of the squadrons came in to pick up their stuff to give to squadron members that were in need of holiday groceries. I find that disturbing. Maybe Maggie can get into some mischief today!

i guess the families are NOT a part of the military..???

i find that to be a disgrace, the families needing extra help.

i always thought they were taken care of better.

i hate being wrong.
 
missing pie has been found...

the wife found it at the window at the back hallway.

she had no room at the kitchen windows both of them, and she had set it to the hallway to cool.

i am safe now, she put away that large butcher knife....

but do you think she said she was sorry for suspecting me of "pie thievery"...???

nope.........but i still hold out hope, especially if i show her my puppy dog eyes....

Hi,

I'm having a light lunch and looking out the widow at my back yard. We're getting a little of @belladonna's weather, snow with gusts of 50 mph. You might be able to see a chickadee hanging on for life. :LOL:

The wind will subside but we'll get another 6" of snow this weekend. I might get to shovel my driveway! I bought a brand new shovel this year, and I ain't afraid to use it. ;)

Hi,

It's still snowing and blowing. The snow is not too heavy yet.

The Red Bellied Woodpecker and the Chickadee are glad Mrs. BassCliff filled up the feeder.

I just put away the hoses, shut off and cleared the outside spigots. Hopefully we'll have no busted water pipes this winter. This is our 4th winter here. So far, so good.
