What are you doing right now??

My dad is in a better place now. He passed yesterday morning. We feel such relief (and a little guilt), but it was so hard to watch him suffer at the end. He was refusing all meds and wouldn't take ANY liquids. So yesterday was a little shaky, but I'm staying at my sister's place and we've been able to decompress a bit. Turning in my rental car today, as I don't have to drive up to the Villages anymore. My sister can be my driver. :)

Saw my mom the day before yesterday at her apartment. She was in the dining room with her friends and her jaw hit the table when she saw me. We can spend more time with her now, and my sister's life can return to some sort of normalcy. I have another week here to rest up before returning to the tundra. The husband said we got about 8 inches of snow and he has had to take the tractor up the street a few times. I don't miss it right now.

Thank you guys for your well wishes and encouragement. I don't have a lot of friends, and you guys are kinda like family and it helped. I'm good, and I am blessed. 😊
Bella, you ARE family and mine grieves for you.

Bella, a lot of your Forum Family are facing the same situation. Nothing I am dreading more. But it is reward at the end of a lifetime of toil, troubles, joy, heartbreak and LOVE. The joy and the Love make it all worthwhile. He is in a better place now, smiling down at you and happy you made it thru this unexaggeratedly difficult time. Stay strong. Family, direct blood and good friends, are all in the same bucket. I hope your bucket overflows.

Eric

So sorry to hear about your dad. Always hard to say goodbye to a parent. Think of the good times and he will always be with you in your heart and in your mind.

My condolences Bella. Stay strong knowing he's in a better place, and remember the good time memories you all had together with him. 🙏
