Thank youWelcome to the forum from South Texas.
well, snow shoveling is done...for now.......i was getting a snow squall as i was outside.having my 4th coffee, and i gotta get outside to shovel the 2" of snow we got..
there will be more snow in about an hour or 2, and i want to cut down now, what has to be done later.
my boys will come over later if it is more than 2 more inches we might get.
but if its a small amount, i can push it away.
This photo was taken in western North Dakota of a beet processing plant just off the highway. With all the melting and then the sudden freeze, the light pillars appear most vividly at night.Wow!
That is beautiful! I've never heard of this atmospheric condition before. It's kind of like a cold, dry rainbow that refracts through ice crystals instead of water droplets. Amazing.

What are sundogs and how do they form?
Have you ever taken a walk on a winter's day to find the sun flanked by two bright companions?www.space.com
Thank you for your indulgence,

If it's still "fluffy" use a leaf blower.snow squalls have stopped, sun is out, i'm going back out with a push broom first....
that way, hopefully, whats there will sweep up fast.
Happy new year Bella!Well, I didn’t make it past 9PM. The husband made it home at about 8:30 and I did a tequila shot with him, but that was my downfall. Three o’clock mornings take their toll on this old girl by the end of the week. I slept until 7AM but laid around until 8:30. I’ve had two coffee and Bailey’s and I am going to start some food. Didn’t eat much last night…too tired.
I prefer ringing in a new year gently these days. New year, new possibilities…out with the old, in with the new, yada, yada. I’m certainly hoping 2026 will be a little kinder, but hey, it’s all what we make it, right?
Happy New Year, y’all!!![]()
