Kinda bummed out right now. I had thought of going to the local gun show this weekend, but probably won't now. I have seriously thought of getting a SA Saint Victor 9mm pistol. I wanted to actually hold one in my hand so I could get a feel for it. And if I liked it, go to my favorite gun shop to purchase. They make the claim to meet or beat any other shop's prices. But I now found out that the surgery my wife is getting on her foot and ankle is going to cost us (me) $5500 out of pocket. So I'll have to wait at least another month on any new firearms. Unless my wife's CHAMP VA insurance finally comes into effect as a secondary insurance. If it comes through in the next 3 weeks, then it will pick up any out of pocket charges, and the surgery will cost us nothing. So I have to save my pennies for that surgery in case CHAMP VA insurance doesn't come through in time. I do not like going into debt for things, and always try to pay for things I purchase or need upfront, and not have to charge things on my credit card. I swear dealing with CHAMP VA insurance for disabled veterans dependents is worse than a veteran trying to deal with the VA himself. And it's not like my wife is going to use it as the primary insurance, we have Blue Cross Blue Shield as our primary! OK, sorry, rant over.
