What Do We Think of the Hellion in 2026?

You are wrong, once that firearm is an NFA item, it is linked to your social. Like I said anyone can fact check me by logging into their own eforms account and try a pretend transfer. So unless you remove it from the registry or transfer via form 4 or 5 depending on circumstances that firearm is still linked to you as an NFA item. Don't tell me I am spreading misinformation when I told anyone who to fact check me. But what do I know, I’m just an 07/02 thats been dealing with NFA for 20 plus years. i just had to deal with this 4 different times this year of free tax stamps buying SBR’s from individuals, right now they can not be e-formed to an SOT it’s paper only. The solution remove it from the registry, then transfer and then I make it back to an SBR on form 2, now I can sell on eforms once again to anyone.
No, Im NOT wrong and you don't know what you're talking about but think you do. Yes, obviously the serial of the firearm is linked to the person who registered make made the SBR just like a firearm is linked to someone who filled out a form 4473; however, there IS NO REQUIREMENT TO NOTIFY OR TO UNREGISTER THE SBS OR SBS IF YOU SALE TAKE THE NFA FIREARM OUT OF NFA CONFIGURATION! You're just plan wrong.

Once an NFA item is linked to you, it is for life and even after death. Your family and the estate will have to deal with it eventually. It either must be removed from the registry or transferred or destroyed.
No, it doesn't. It simply needs to be taken out of NFA configuration. It doesn't have to be removed from anyone or destroyed.

So unless you remove it from the registry or transfer via form 4 or 5 depending on circumstances that firearm is still linked to you as an NFA item.
Of course it is and that's common sense because you haven't notified the ATF to tell them otherwise. The fact still remains that an registered NFA firearm can be sold, gifted, or given to a friend or family member just as long as it's not physically an NFA item at the time.

But what do I know, I’m just an 07/02 thats been dealing with NFA for 20 plus years.
Regardless, you are still are missinformed.

The solution remove it from the registry, then transfer and then I make it back to an SBR on form 2, now I can sell on eforms once again to anyone.
If you sell that firearm as a title 1 to someone else and they try to make it an NFA item they can not because it was not legally transferred or removed from the registry in the first place.
Yes, if someone else wants to Form 1 a previously and current SBR or SBS, they must have the current registrant send a letter to the ATF to unregister the firearm first; however, as I've pointed out and nauseam now, the new owner would NOT be illegally in possession of a registered SBR if it's not physically an SBR. They can legally own and use the firearm just like any other pistol or rifle. It wasn't illegal for the registrant to sell it nor is it illegal for the buyer to possess it.

You go through all that effort for an NFA tax stamp, that item is listed as an NFA item forever unless you tell the government or get approval for transfer. That tax stamp does not just magically disappear because you remove the stock.
Reading comprehension. I never said that the tax stamp disappears or the firearm stops being registered just because the stock is removed. What I did say and what is factual is that the NFA laws, regulations, and requirements disappear when the firearm is no longer physically meets the legal definition of a SBR or SBS. It's just like a braced or bare buffer tube AR pistol is treated as a hany when in handgun configuration and all state and federal handgun laws apply. If you put a 16" barrel on that same AR pistol, then all state and federal handgun laws cease to apply, and now state and federal title 1 rifle laws and regulations are applicable. It's the same exact phenomenal when it comes to SBR and SBS.

Well, back on topic, I made my decision. Hellion it is, and I found a gear up package here locally for what I thought was a reasonable price (and well below MSRP of just the gun). Included a Vertex Crossfire Red Dot, extra 30 round magazine, and sling. I’ll provide a better picture once I get it all set up. Figured tomorrow I’ll learn how to break it down, get it cleaned up and lubricated (though I’ll have to get to LGS tomorrow when they open to grab a 5.56 rifle cleaning kit - that was a big duh on my part 😂).

Here’s a quick couple shots…first was LGS photo, second was “Hellion at Home”… same gun.
