I carry a Staccato condition 1 in a bloody good Legacy Firearms AIWB holster. Or I carry my P07 decocked in the same style holster. Honestly, I don’t care how other people carry or what they thinkThis.
I'm perfectly comfortable carrying Cond. 1 in my pocket (my Bodyguard 1.0/2.0 with a decent pocket holster, like AHolster) or OWB. I'm just not comfortable AIWB (where the "A" stands for "Anywhere") but especially when it's pointed directly at Big Jim & the Twins.
For that reason, I simply don't usually carry IWB. I know it's entirely in my head, especially with a firearm as ultra-reliable as a Smith, but I just can't shake it. It's a phobia, and it has nothing to do with trust or training, it's just an irrational fear, like how some people are afraid of spiders or snakes.
But it does come down to a good holster. That's one of those things I never skimp out on or buy budget. It's just too important.
about how I carry. I train enough with a 1911 or 226 that my thumb automatically goes to the thumb safety even when I’ve been running striker fired guns for a while. My only questionable safety is on my P365 because the safety is so small. But that also rides securely in a pricey holster.
