What Does the Castle Doctrine Defend?

I wouldn't be posting any blood thirsty answers here or anywhere. Sign: Forget The Dog Beware Of Owner. I know of one case that the Owner wished he didn't have this in his yard.
Yeah, I'm sure you are right and thank you for the level set. It just makes my blood boil whenever I think about the fact that all too often the victim is turned into a criminal because of possessed weaklings. I was merely attempting to make the point that regardless of what the septum ring wearing, blue and purple haired, 227 gender believer freaks think, I will defend myself and those I love by any means necessary. Furthermore, I will not be bullied or afraid of anyone that attempts to impose the freak squad beliefs upon me. If you are LEO and you are so weak that you try to make me the criminal, well, I guess I will become a criminal standing up for myself and for sane Americans.

I think it is one size fits all. You come into my shack uninvited in the middle of the night, your next of kin will be notified. It is that plain and simple. I do not agree with, nor will I comply with any duty to retreat nonsense. You come into my home and I get to a defense tool before you get to me, you're gonna die. If you want to arrest me for defending myself in a manner I saw fit, in my safe place, bring the judge and jury with you because this is where it's gonna go down and only one of us is gonna walk away.
:ROFLMAO: Is your funeral paid for and life insurance premiums paid up?

We recently had 2 Deputies shot and the suspect took off, in minutes he was squeezed in to a parameter, in 25 minutes over 120 LEOs from multiple agencies were on site, the suspect did not survive. Rambo was a movie.

YOu have the right to emloy force to defend yourself or others from peril of death or great bodily harm. With that said, you don't really want to shoot someone if not necessary. Shooting another human is a dire step that will change your life in profound ways. Reasonable and necessary should drive my decision. Someone entering or trying to enter my home forcibly is a direct threat to me and others therein and I view deadly force as reasonable and necessary. But every scenario is different and you have to make the call based upon individual circumstances.

Agreed, my old 12 gauge pump, cruiser model with the pistol grip will remove one leg, then they can't stand to fight. My attorney will take care of the civil suit........

Well, I seem to recall mentioning the fact that I'd stand my ground against tyranny so you're not gonna have to look for me, nor will you need 120 LEOs to find me. If you are or were LE (which I very seriously doubt), as I once was, and I have been shot, and I killed the person that shot me, my simple position is that if you wear a badge and you are willing to carry out the rules of the septum ring wearing pigs, man bun Subaru drivers, pink and purple haired, gender confused leaders against a man for protecting himself and those he loves, I'd prefer you take the badge off, turn in your man card, and go get some hair dye because you are not worthy of wearing a badge.

I have no idea what brought all of that out, thank you for your service, obviously there is a deep resentment toward authority using such demeaning imagery. PTSD is common among those who served in LE and military, imagined paranoia with aggressive posturing simply provides an emotional relief from the frustration of impotence in your authoritarian environment. While birds of a feather flock together the Eagle doesn't harm the Hummingbird.

Your tone is simply a mix of:

• personal trauma
• identity‑based defensiveness
• anger at institutions
• tribal language
• hyper‑masculine posturing
• us‑vs‑them framing

It's a good thing you're no longer wearing the badge any longer. You'll be happier......

“The Castle Doctrine is a concept that all 50 states agree on, at least to some extent. However, there are numerous subtle differences in Castle Doctrine laws across the United States, which can dramatically affect whether an individual can be charged with a crime.”

Yet another reason why 2A and self-defense laws should be Federal (Supremacy Clause) and there should be zero room for States to make up their own interpretations (unless Federal law is trampling Constitutional protections). One should always know exactly the potential consequences of decisions they make without having to consider 50 different potential consequences. To make it worse, there are jurisdictions within States that try to make the minutiae even worse - for example, in Texas, there are a few urban areas (Houston, San Antonio, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin - and I’m sure I missed as couple) where there is zero concern for rights of US citizens whilst protecting non-citizens ad nauseam.
Sadly, the federal government has trampled on the 2nd Amendment already. In general, ALL gun control laws are unconstitutional. Our Founders intended for EVERY Individual to have the ability to protect themselves against "all enemies, forgein AND domestic. That means anything from a lone attacker all the way up to the government. And they wanted us to have access to the exact same weaponry the government has available. (Yes, Joe Biden, we CAN own a cannon if we want it and can afford it). The Founders thought the line "shall not be infringed" was clear enough for all to understand. Of course, there are some who like to alter or completely change the definition of words in order to fit the narrative THEY want conveyed. We have seen this many times throughout our country's history.
