What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

Hi,

I looked at ammo today while shopping for Christmas presents. For a brick-and-mortar store the prices weren't bad, $12 for a box of Blazer Brass 115 or 124 grain. I'm trying to wait until after the Holidays to spend money on gun stuff. But you guys are making it hard! :LOL:

5moa is working Great for rapid shots on "Smoke & Hope" and other steel challenge stages. Shooting consistant tennis ball size groups at fairly rapid pace out to 15 yards. Looking for improvement with 2.5moa.
What a fun journey this has become.

Update
SRO 2.5moa arrived, I installed it withe the AOS plate and headed to the range. (Dawson plate had not arrived yet). Love the dot, Easy to shoot accurately. No issues.

Pic 1 is SRO/AOS plate , this plate retains rear sight but optic hangs over ejection port by a solid .25". Fired 250 rounds in this configuration WITHOUT a single "brass induced malfunction" due to hitting optic housing. I did however have a large amount of carbon to scrape off the bottom of the optic as well as constant need to wipe soot off of glass caused by LCI slot in top of barrel.

In the meantime the Dawson plate has arrived. As stated in original post, this plate deletes rear iron sight and moves optic behind the ejection port. Have not shot with this plate installed, that will happen tomorrow.

First observation was, this plate is made from aluminum. Nowhere in description was this stated. My concern is that the Prodigy plate to slide connection is less than ideal and will require the removal of optic Many times in the future to re mount plate to slide. Will the screw holes for optic eventually give way being aluminum? Plate cost $129.00.
Second observation was, plate fits nice and tight in slide cut and moves optic well behind ejection port and LCI slot, but has a reverse bevel causing a gap between plate and slide at the foward location. (see pic). I can live with the gap but at the price point expected better fit.

Am I being too picky? Thoughts or comments?

Not to sure on the aluminum plate, but I don’t care for the gap, it should have been stated what the plate was made from, I guess you’ll just have to give it a go and see what happens

Well, I'm prejudiced toward Ruger so I'd go with a 5050 Redhawk .45 Auto or one of the dual cylinder SA's with a 9mm cylinder or a bolt action in 5.56. And I've always wanted a Remington 870 Marine Magnum as they are just BEAUTIFUL. Also a major fan of Henry after a CS experience where they went WELL above and beyond when helping me. They have a nice lever 5.56 and semi 9mm. Good luck with your decisions.

No cure for my diseased lungs as yet, only three diff medicines to slow it down. My 4 year younger bro passed away a few months ago from same disease. I do have a back pack generator, but not as small or light as Inogen. The long life battery/air capacity is determined by how many liters of oxy one needs.
The V.A. is taking good care of me. Thanks.
