Did some work on it today thought I'd do something a little different on the mainspring housing and the grip safety in the same style but larger than the back of the slide.
I'm not super happy with the stippling on the front strap but what's done is done. It certainly with be a very personal gun for me so in that regard it's gonna be ok.
I got the 38 super back from kart today the long slide is done except the trijicon sro mount have the red dot already. The lock up is excellent at 0.045 and tight should be a shooter. Won't be able to shoot it by hand for a while but will go in the ransom rest until my hand heals up.

Going to a friend's house tomorrow to use his mill need to take about 0.018 off the back of the hood sides are done but after surgery I can't take that much off by hand like I normally do.
I can manage fitting upper and lower lugs by hand.

I went to my buddies house today he works for Boeing and his Dad did too couldn't believe all the tools anyhow cutting the hood on the barrel on the mill was awesome I'll have to finish up with a stone but a guy could get used to a mill in a hurry.

Ordered a 32002, the new and improved 10/22 that claims to be "in stock at the warehouse". Hoping that's true and means it will be here next week. I'm going with the Tech-Sights TSR200 for it as that will most closely resemble my just obtained M1 carbine sights. It's going to be an Appleseed rifle, in addition to general fun, and part of that program is meant to improve one's skills with M1 and similar rifles as I understand. We'll see.

Hoping to finish up barrel install tonite but with my hand still healing after surgery been doing too much.
I checked the chamber last night it's too short so me and a friend are going to split the reamer cost instead of sending it back to Kart like I did the 38 super.
The hood still needs some polishing on the length it's too tight and sticks so I'll stone it and lap it with some jb polish compound I was already getting 0.038 lock up without even touching the barrel lugs so should be pretty easy to get the 43-45 i need.
I've never used Nowlin/Ryan barrels before so I'm hoping feeding will not be a issue ??

I need to know a whole lot more about this. :)
It's a Manurhin PP Sport Target .22 made in France. I have been looking for one of their 38 specials when I ran across this auction I guess I'll see what she has in her pretty soon hope it shoots! All their guns were of high quality lot's of hand fitting I bought it more for that reason than anything else.
I'm a sucker for quality well built stuff.
It also is threaded so that's nice to use my suppressor.
The front section is actually a weight that they supplied with the target versions it does come off if you remove the threaded cap it slides off.
