What’s a firearm everyone seems to love that just didn’t work for you?

I know this may come as a surprise, but I just can not do Glock… hear me out. I already know what most will say, “they’re reliable…” yada yada yada.
Here’s the thing… there are a few reasons… the most important reason is the grip angle. It’s not natural aiming. I don’t like the need to articulate my wrist to find my sights. I prefer the sights to find my eyes. If it doesn’t aim like a 1911, get it out of here. Second, they aren’t innovative at all. It’s literally the same gun over and over… no shotgun, no rifles… just switching slides, calibers and grips. I feel like they are taking advantage of poor Glock guys. They release a new version and all they do is undercut the trigger guard. Triggers and sights are awful. Perhaps it’s just me. I want to get one, but I won’t until they fix the grip angle, and present something new… and not some contraption you connect the Glock to to make it a Pdw…

I was coming in here to say pretty much exactly the same thing. I'll add that I do not like striker fired or polymer framed pistols to begin with and I've never held a Glock that felt anywhere near as good as either of my CZ75s. The s is for plural not a model or anything. Just to be clear.
 
CZP-01 & Sig P365's.. Everyone raves about them, some of the guntubers that I follow rave about them, so I bought a CZ and 3 different P365's and hated them. The CZ felt very cheap and unfinished for the price and it was hard to disassemble. The P365's just don't fit my hands. And I honestly gave both brands a fair shot.

Which CZ did you try? Hey man, everyone has their own preferences. No shade for having different preferences. Something out there these days for everyone I think. I have zero personal exposure to Sigs. I know I cannot stand FNs or Glocks. I did like the one H&K VP9sk that I tried even though the RDS that was on it fell apart but the gun felt great and hit where I was aiming at.

If I remember correctly, it was a CZ75 P01 Compact Omega. I had a hard time getting a decent group with it, even when I changed Grips. I also had a hard time lining up the little marks on the slide/frame and when I finally was able to get it broke down, the gun looked very unfinished on the inside which was mostly bare metal. I was very disappointed with it.
I bought the P365 when it first came out and couldn't get a decent group with it, then tried 2 of the larger versions including one of the comped models with the same results. I had 3 P320's and I loved those, I just didn't have any confidence in them when the second round of lawsuits started so I got rid of them. I'm not a fan of Glocks either, but I knew that from shooting friends and going to Glock demo shoots. I didn't mention those because I never actually owned one.

I'm not familiar with or don't have personal exposure to most of those so I have no opinion on them. After a few trips to the range shooting rentals until I found the CZ75BD I had no exposure to pistols at all. It was my first firearm purchase and it was intended for bedside table. Choosing the P01 after exposure to the BD was easy. I did watch a lot of content on it before ordering it but I have been very happy with it and honestly doubt I would ever NEED to purchase another compact for EDC. Who knows what tomorrow holds. The safety features have already proven themselves necessary sadly. I made an oversight when snapping my shoulder holster retention strap and leaned over and it fell out landing on its grip with the barrel pointed right at my head. It was loaded and decocked at the time. Trigger block safety is an absolute must for me and the DA/SA trigger over the safety because I need the least choices possible between me and a personal defense situation. The CZ75s point incredibly natural for me. Very consistent in my limited exposure to it so far. I have not shot in some time.

Ive been carrying a p365 for 5 years....It works for me, regardless of how it fits my hands. I'm more concerned with comfort-in-holster, than most other carry considerations. Yes, it's too small for most hands, but It's hard to find a 9mm easier to carry. Also, mine is many thousands of rounds without a failure. That counts for more than something.
