Just the two of us this year. A 10 pound turkey, mashed spuds, stuffing and yams plus strudel for dessert. I make the potatoes and strudel, rest is my wife’s bailiwick and I have learned to keep out of it. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone and remember the reason why we celebrate.

What are you preparing and how, for your Thanksgiving meal?
We have been doing this on smoker for past few years. I’ll start the brine tomorrow morning.
we are not preparing anything for a dinner, but the wife's home made pies for dessert.

i think my wife said our daughter is cooking a bird...

so i am just making sure my 2 middle fingers are still attached, each time i wake up from a nap....

Mexican food.

Probably won't be different than any other family to get together. Tamales, shredded beef you probably don't want to know where it came from on the cow, probably some chicken. Some kind of beans, some kind of green chili. (Actual chili. not that bean soup) rice. maybe tortillas.

At some point my wife with make a small traditional Thanksgiving meal but it will be a while.

I love good Mexican food. We used to buy a couple dozen tamales from a nice lady at church to supplement our holiday meals. But it's hard to find good Mexican here in the Wild Wild Upper Midwest.

But Mrs. BassCliff is making her legendary fresh cranberry sauce!

She just added the ginger! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
