The problem is the lettuce was sourced in MEXICO. Then my guess it isnt washed once it gets here

I doubt it. TB has already announced that they pulled all the product. People will go back. What it should be is demand for higher scrutiny for out sourced foods. Chances are this was just a case of poor hygiene among the workers (taking a dump in the field / not washing hands) BUT this could have just as easily been an attack....from any number of sources

Yes, leafy greens are a double edged sword. The last time I got sick as a dog from Romaine lettuce I started using tiny amounts of bleach in a sterilized sink to wash the greens in. So far so good!

It has many hosts. It is pretty hard to keep birds and such from defecating on the produce.
I would say the farm was negligent in the way they handled it and treated it after it was picked.

They don’t process anything at the store level. I’ve been in hundreds of stores and would eat at any one of them, and have. I wouldn’t hold Home Depot responsible for a defective Milwaukee Electric drill bit, nor can I hold TB responsible for that lettuce.
