Was at Sheppard AFB when they had to leave the country ASAP. Boy what their buildings looked like when they were expelled! We were so glad to see them go!WE have owed them the hammer many times over since 1979. Finish it!
AMEN, OnewolfPart of me says we need to put boots on the ground in a limited capacity, but mainly we need to work with Israel to arm and train the population. Supposedly, we sent firearms to the Kurds to supply the Iranian civilians, but the Kurds kept the firearms. If we can believe anything coming out on this so far. While we do want a change in leadership there, it has to be the Iranian people who make that change, and they have to know that we will have their back in all of this. This is a chance for us to have a positive result over there, without installing a puppet regime. We can no longer be doing regime changes over there, because it has bitten us in the *** more times than we can count. We need to do what France did for us during the Revolutionary War. Arm, train, support and defend the Iranian people in their fight for freedom. Whatever government they install will be on them. As long as they understand that ANY attempt to resume nuclear enrichment for the purpose of nuclear arms will result in the same outcome. We will probably need boots on the ground anyway to secure any nuclear materials in Iran.
Just a phrase…not even necessarily military related. “Drop the hammer” generally means “to act with sudden, severe force, authority, or to impose strict punishment/discipline. It is frequently used in professional or personal contexts to describe finalizing a tough decision, enforcing rules, or accelerating performance (e.g., speeding).”Forgive me as I’m not active or retired military, so I don’t understand any of the jargon.
Is the Big Hammer some kind sustained military offensive? Ground forces with heavy air and missle support?
Or is the Big Hammer some kind of low yield tactical nuclear weapon? If so, that part kinda freaks me out a little.
I wouldn’t hold my breath that Iran regime will open the Straight….Reading now that it will not happen. All talk--no action.
For weeks! Dumb move, IMO. Looks weak. Those cavemen will never change. Might be fooled though. Let them abandon their civilian shields in the next day or two. When they do... HELLO! That would put a feather in our man's hat. It's on hold now.
