Guys Im trying to keep this one lite, so no judgements or proclamations just fun gun talk
The modern handgun field has largely gone to polymer; but what about the steel (and aluminum) gun of yesteryear. Without a doubt Im a Glock guy and I have a few other modern favorites; but I still have love for several older models. I went through a SSA phase and a WW1/2 phase. For most of my military career I carried a 1911 (one with a WW1 date). I retired with a M9 and still love it. In my PD career I carried a couple SIGs and yes the Glock
Lately Ive been carrying a Walther P38K and a gunsmith made Man From U.N.C.L.E. version (K length barrel and special grips). I have a PPK for special occasions. Im certainly not opposed to the Detonics Combat Master (pre Colt Officer Model). I had a ASP Pistol, which I sadly sold and a S&W669. Heck Ive even got a C96 Broomhandle, although I havent carried yet
Today the plastic guns are lighter BUT theres something cool about the Classics.
