Would you carry an Old (design) Gun?

I carry my SA-35. I don't see any real advantages for newer guns over it, with the exception of weight.

I can put a light on it. I can have it milled for a red dot. I can run high capacity mags, up to 32 rounds.

I'm still "old school" and enjoy carrying a 1911 often. Although most of my 1911's now are optic ready so I am getting the best of both worlds.
I left one of my 1911 style guns in the window sill and all the edges melted in the sun.

Yes! From one of your old posts it appears we have similar tastes. I've had two Seattle Detonics Combat Masters and the first 9mm I shot was a Walther P-38. The ASP you had has always been a favorite concept gun for me. So classy. If I could have found one of the ASPII's I would have never let it go.

I didnt want to sell it but I was advised that if I ever had an offduty shooting with it, every "white shirt" at headquarters would finger F it because they had never seen one OR were looking for a reason to bring an IAS case. I was a young father and couldnt afford another gun without selling the ASP, so it had to go
