I have not frequently been on youtube looking at things, so my question is which person or video depicts the best detailed cleaning of a SA Mil spec 1911 45??? Who's video is the best in your guys and gals opinion? Take into consideration I have never takeN a gun apart so I have no experience, NADA!!!!

I am leery of any information gleaned from the Interwebs, as everyone bills themselves as an expert. I would see if Wilson Combat, Nighthawk Custom or heck even Springfield Armory for that matter. See who people that post under their real verified names and occupations have to say. Brownells and MidwayUSA have a bunch of free videos too, and those are good sources.

I've watched enough of Gun Blue , and fact checked against my own knowledge, that Gun Blue is credible, if even more Old School than l am .

That said , stripping and cleaning a 1911 is very well known and established , over the previous 115 years . There are literally countless numbers of sources , such that you can decide on camera angles , and vocal delivery.

[ No , l don't have a specific video to recommend. I was first shown in person by retired Gunnery Sgt , turned LEO , and then dug into Kuhnhausen , long before there was an internet .]

I am sure you have seen Bill Wilson's vid where he pushes a brush through extractor channel of his 1911 and says " look at that chunk of sh.t", or Brownelle's optic mounting vid where he does not clean anything dumps half a bottle of blue loctite on screws.
There are much better (modern) examples of how to complete certain task' out there on the interwebs.

I like to go to Wilson Combat for 1911 videos.
This is good, 1911/2011 Information. Hope it helps.

Engineers Armory is a great source if you are into really overthinking a gun. Thank God I don’t have that problem. 🙄🙄🙄
