Dog Pecker Gnats

I took my own advice yesterday and got rid of the indoor gnats with hot water down the drains. I also have a collection of rare exotic philodendron plants that take over 1/4 of my living room needing to be treated with pesticide. I had to replant a few as the infestation was out of hand. Nothing appears to be flying around this morning and nothing flying around me last night in bed while reading gun magazines lol.

+1 for Zevo Blue Light Sticky Traps. I installed them strategically around the house. After 3 days I checked them and found the sticky part almost covered with gnats and house flies. I replaced the sticky inserts and checked again after 3 days but found just a few gnats and flies. Those inserts have lasted over 2 months now with plenty of room left to catch more. I don't see anything flying around anymore. The blue light also works well as night lights. I highly recommend this product because it flat out works!

Maybe at your locale, not in Ohio. They remain thick and hearty until a couple of hard freezes.
Having grown up back east in W. PA and was stationed in N. MN for a few years I saw ticks back there 12 months of the year even with snow on the ground.

Fortunately I escaped to the Interior West where summer heat, the lack of humidity and grassy vegetation curing out knocks our ticks (we only have one species compared to the several in the east) out in the mid-late summer, until the following spring.

My ex has been in the vet biz for over 20 years. Around here, ticks are active year-round outside. In the winter one can find them on long grass UNDER the snowpack, moving just like in summer. Hence the flea & tick meds are recommended year-round for dogs by her clinic....
