I live in Houston and there's been alot of these "ring and run" incidents that turn into break-ins, robberies and worse. The MO is they usually kick the doors so hard they break the doors, locks, frames etc and then multiple "youths" will enter the house and ransack it. Just a few months ago there was another incident where a group of 12-15yos, all were carrying handguns, and attempted to rob a man attempting to enter his own home however the homeowner got the jump on them and shot them all. These armed "youths", I hate saying youths because they are usually just underage criminals, are more common in Houston than people who live outside of Houston realize. Houston PD, Harris County Sheriff & Constables, Montgomery County Sheriff, Galveston County County and Texas DPS are warning homeowners in and around Houston to be aware of the "ring and run" tactics as well as "jugging"(the criminals stake out ATM machines and follow their victims, sometimes to their homes, to rob them, which makes the "ring and run" not-so-innocent prank anymore especially with the predominant age of these criminals under 18 and usually between the ages of 10-17.
