Hans is still a member; he's just on a "time out". For how long, I don't know. His avatar is still here and shows activity. My guess is that he can still log on but cannot reply or make posts. I think all he can do is read posts. Bassbob's avatar has changed to a guest. That means he has left. Maybe he can reactivate his account if and when he cools off.

there are all sorts of reasons for a departure.

at a trucking website i am a member of, the owner said he might have to shut it down.

many of us just exchanged email addresses......for the all too real probability.

many leave due to friction with another and the mods do nothing about it.

some leave under thier own power, some leave when the mods open the exit door.

some return, many others just don't.

after a while, it just doesn't pay to stay under some circumstances.

maybe freedom of expression, word filters, and such.

all due to "the owners want a family place".......

if'n there are children here (other than some of us 60 and over types), i'd be amazed of such an audience.
