Took the new 2K11 Pro to the range yesterday to feel it out. I ran a combined 200 rds of Browning 124gr, Federal 115gr and Hornady Critical Defense 115gr with no issues. As mentioned in my other post, this was Honest Outlaw’s review gun and he did a good job breaking it in for me. I think I’ll keep it.
Left shoulder was 124gr at 10 yds zeroing the optic. Right shoulder was 15yds 124 gr. Head box was 115gr Hornady Critical Defense JHPs at 15 yds. The lower section of the A zone was 124 gr rapid double taps at 7yds the center target was 115 gr at 10 yds I went hard and fast on the center target because it was almost too easy to get good rapid hits things opened up as I went extremely fast Even so, I was happy with the results. That bad guy won’t be around to tell the story
I really like a 4.25 1911/2011 and the 2K11 Pro is really good. It fits in the hand well and the slide reciprocates very quickly and smoothly making the gun very easy to control. It was easy to run the gun extremely fast. I run 124gr pretty much exclusively, but found 115gr felt really good, particularly in close. The other nice thing was I took mags for my Prodigy as well as Checkmate mags for my Tisas Carry DS (which is the same mag Kimber uses) and they ran fine, so I’m in good shape there. Checkmate has come out with an Ultra High Capacity mag that holds 20 rds and fits flush. I’m sorely tempted, but the $85 price gives pause for thought. I’ll probably use the money on a Wilson Combat Bulletproof ambi thumb safety because the 2K11 Pro has the same hotspot as the 2K11 Target which offends my soft designer’s hands. I was hoping it was just the 5in Target in .45 that was the problem, but no such luck.

R - To quote Doug Marcaida “It will Keal.” It’s a keeper.
