I have never had a knife do this..

I was just cutting open a package of breakfast sausage. I have had it about 15 years, but still...

I've never seen that either. I have J. A. Henckels brand ( made in Spain ) kitchen knives. Not top tier but I have been happy with them.

I also have a couple of the Old Hickory Brand knives. A 6" butchers knife and a 6" slicer. The 6" butcher is a bit of a rarity since most are 7" blades.

After struggling with ___mart grade knives for tooooo long, I started investing in high(er) grade cooking knives. Im a particular fan of Zwilling J.A. Henckels. I treat them like a fine rifle, no dishwasher

Zwilling manufactures their highest grade knives in Germany. They also have lines made in Spain and Japan. All are top tier
