A simple Tisas 1911 "Service" model (pre-1924, plain 1911 configuration). Just as Johm Moses Browning intended and as adopted by the Ordinance Division in 1911.

No bells, no "whistles". A 1911 with an elarged ejection port.

I made a few changes to the TRP and it's been running great. I wasn't a fan of the hydra grips in pbj, so I swapped them out for a set of Hydra grips in black. I also added an Osight SE enclosed optic. I'm very happy with the setup.

That, with the thin grips it already had, ought make it perfect, for me anyway. Love what you can do with the venerable 1911

I do wish this 4.25 had come with lighter shade grips, though. My 5” has a beautiful set. I’ll swap ‘em out since I don’t think I’m keeping the 5..

I got a pair of untreated, smooth bare wood walnut ones a few yrs ago from him. I gave them two coats of Tung oil, and they are beautiful ! Soft satin sheen.

I picked up the Kimber Next Gen 1911 4.25" today. I have to say that this is probably the most beautiful 1911 I have ever seen. The finish is really stunning in person. I can't wait to get it to the range and see how it shoots!

This my first Kimber. I had been looking at this one for a while now and it finally showed up at my LGS yesterday. I checked it out and passed on it due to budget reasons. Couldn't stop thinking about it, so here it is.

Very nice pick up. Your going to love the bull barrel shooting experience. Softer with increased barrel weight. 2 Kimbers in my safe 1911 & 2K11. Both great running accurate pistols out of the box.
