good day at the range

Hey!

You guys sure know how to have a good time. Maybe if I got out in the fresh air and sunshine more often, I could shoot more like you guys. Nice work.

Those 3D cardboard silhouettes are cool. I'm going to see if I can hang them at my indoor range. I like a variety of targets. Thanks for sharing your fun!

Thank you for your indulgence,

All our indoors around said no go on those 3d targets. Been in garage for years. Finally took them outdoor range

Went outdoor range today with @SimonRL .
101 degrees at noon 😬💥💥🥴

Some pistol work from draw with rapid fire sessions. Shoot n move. Sub guns, and my new 6.8 w thermal and Simons M1A.
Good day but a blazing hot in the full sun . 3D tactical dude took a rapid fire beating.
10 yrds pistol
50 yrd rifle

we were drenched in sweat. it was brutally hot. I feel for all those in tactical gear this time of year or in the sand box.

You’ve got that Clint Smith target going in “shootem in the crouch.”

Honestly, shooting steel plate after doing 4” targets for ages was like boring as hell. Speed drill on plate was “mundane” even on various strings. And fast as they could go from holster draw. 4 mags was about 1 min. That was a lot of ammo. Had to slow way way down.
Went to the large cardboard with triple to lower, single middle and single head as quick as I could get the rounds off at 10 yrds

Woo Hoo!

Hit the range this week end. HK /Clone day. Alot of the indoor ranges allow FRT now. As long as you can show you can keep it on a torso target.

Ap5 with FRT. 10-15 yrds. 4 mags

Overall a great day out at the range for fathers day.. 🤠🇺🇸🇺🇸🕺

That looks like a lot of fun. Brrrrrrrtt! Instant big raggedy hole. :D

I bought an FRT for my little TX22 TORO, been thinking about installing it. If everything works out then I might move on to something bigger. ;) Thanks for sharing your fun.

Hi,

Yep! Nice work. With the exception of a couple flyers, I'd say your reloads are just as accurate as the factory ammo. Cheers!

Thank you for your idulgence,

BassCliff
yesh, i keep saying "i gotta start reloading"

but i gotta remember.....

to get started....!!!!!!

i am down now about 800 rounds of 45 ACP, and down about 700 rounds of 9mm....(+/-) those figures

i still ain't even tried to reload Colt 45 or .38 specials yet.

my knee is making climbing and descending stairs painful.

Went with daughter and @SimonRL for range day today. Day early since Friday is a no go.
Daughter wanted to shoot her new CZ PO9 Nocturne and I wanted to work on some speed drills.

Daughter was shooting a tad high, but was not used to the trigger on this CZ. Trigger job in the near future, but she bored out a nice set of holes around bull. 7 yrds.

We thought maybe RDS was a bit off, but Simon confirmed that is not the case with one shot bull test fire.. (left center

Did some speed drills with the Baer Drill.
I did 7 yrds. 5 rds right square. Slide stop. Fast Reload. 5 rds left square. 3 rds center. 5 seconds or under for 5 rounds into each separate gray square. Under 5 seconds for 3 rds center “baer” logo.
Squares are 5” and center logo is 2”

Threw 2 rds high on the squares. Threw 4 rds off baer logo.
very rusty, but I’ll take it 🙂

3” circle splatter above baer drill was 10 yrds speed shoot from low ready.

Great day all in all with Simon and daughter

I miss the days when me and my son would go to the range at least once a week. Awesome shooting.
