The first time was when the front sight came off after about 250 rounds. The second time was for broken extractor #1 after about 1000 rounds. I was going to replace it on my own but SA customer service suggested i send it back so it could be fitted. A few weeks ago the extractor snapped again...
I have the Tisas Stingray. Fun to shoot and have put around 2000 rds through it with 0 failures. My SA milspec 1911 on the other hand has been back to SA twice and i just broke extractor #2. Between the two, I would feel more comfortable with the Tisas at my bedside.
