Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com. It is titled “What Will Make Your Gun Fail (and Why)?” and can be found at https://www.thearmorylife.com/what-will-make-your-gun-fail-and-why/.

I try my best to not overclean, but after 30 years of Law Enforcement and a short hitch in the Navy, cleaning is required after use. A functioning pistol may not always be clean, but a clean pistol usually functions. I do miss a Gunnermate doing the cleaning while in the Navy though...

sometimes you must scrub away carbonization around the areas the article indicated - just rubbing soft cloth does not do it. Brushes or scrapers for the win.

After each time a weapon is finished being fired.

I admit to be a bit OCD about cleaning my guns. If it gets fired, it gets cleaned.

It is just the right thing to do for its obedience...

As others mentioned, fired equals cleaned. And if for some reason I can’t clean upon arrival home from range, because life does sometimes happen, dirty gun not used for HD or EDC until it is cleaned.
