My good man, the post is from 2016.I can't answer that question but a whole bunch of the genius experts out there refer to that list every time this question comes up. So, I'm going to assume that they think it's still valid

How many different ways can I say that I can't answer that question? My good man, the post is from 2016.

After giving it some thought I'm going to go with my original answer. There are a whole bunch of SMEs who participate at pistol forum and I have not seen that there's any movement over there to take the list down.
I've told the story before but I specifically carry 124 grain Speer +P Golddots because Kathy Jackson, AKA The Cornered Cat recommended them to me specifically. She then directed me to Dr Robert's list and said that anything on it would work just fine.
That's good enough for me.
As a side note ALL of my 1911's absolutely HATE to eat them flying ashtrays
Gold dots are plenty big enough to cause feeding issues especially in 1911'sIt's been a couple decades since Speer discontinued the Flying Ashtray ( the actual projectile , product #4477 ) .
I think we all are guilty of overthinking it.After giving it some thought I'm going to go with my original answer. There are a whole bunch of SMEs who participate at pistol forum and I have not seen that there's any movement over there to take the list down.

Where do you people Live? I'm assuming WV stands for West Vladikavkaz.I want something that'll go through a thick winter coat and a layer or two here in WV should the need occur.
Stuffing is indeed an issue. Now that doesn't mean it won't penatrate a body but u may not get the expansion desired. I mean u can say it doesn't matter but it is indeed a scientific fact. I mean fmj will go thru people too if ballistics doesn't really matter to you.Where do you people Live? We live in Maine and if you're not familiar with the weather it occasionally gets a bit brisk here. I know for a fact that .22lr will sail through the hair and hide of a moose. 9mm, 38spl, 380, etc. not penetrating winter clothing is way down on my list of concerns.
By all means now bring on the horror stories and outlying examples proving I'm wrong.![]()

Guess u know more than the scientists and phd's at Hornady and every other manufacturer on the planet lol .cowpies.

Nope. Never claimed such. You attacking everyone that disagrees you is wearing thin. We were discussing bullets being stopped by winter clothing not terminal performance, bullet expansion, unreliable bullet performance, how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, etc.Guess u know more than the scientists and phd's at Hornady and every other manufacturer on the planet lol .
You may have never thought about the effects of fabric and clothing on the performance of ammo. But clothing — especially heavy clothing —has a lot to do with how the bullet expands upon impact. Conventional hollow point bullets often experience tip clogging as the bullet passes through light and heavy clothing, which diminishes expansion and causes unreliable bullet performance.
