I’m tired of these ignorant people making comments on firearms and 2A issues. Even the “conservative” pundits. Last night I heard “high powered rifle”, “automatic assault weapon”, automatic AR15”, “M4” and others. And these were all on Fox News. Never heard any of these descriptions corrected. My blood was boiling the whole time. These ignorant comments play into the anti-gunner’s rhetoric.

Good article on bearingarms.com. NYPD reports that the firearm was an AR-15 pistol, with a brace, and 30 rd magazine. It checks all the boxes with the anti-gunners.
