Anyone else into cooking?

My son has gone through all the versions of smokers and grills and has given rave reviews to his new Blackstone griddle. I just got mine last week -one of the new 22" foldables that you can load into your vehicle & take camping. It's getting nicely seasoned and I'm enjoying the versatility of the cooking with a griddle.

That’s good to know my son showed me a pic of the 22” model he wants it . The price on Amazon was like 240. I found the same one at Walmart for 197.

They have a variety of 22" models. Supposedly the newer 22's (possibly all of the different sizes) have an upgraded burner system that gives more uniform heat. The 22" also so-far seems to be big enough that you can put one burner on low for items that need lower heat or longer cook times. Quite pleased with it.

I used avocado oil for the recommended 3-5 seasonings of the cook surface and it came out well. The one thing many say they wish they had done when seasoning the cook surface is to coat the outside of the uprights surrounding the surface so that they don't develop rust down the line. Hope he enjoys it!!

Is it just me? A smoker, a grill and a griddle are used for completely different cooking methods....all have their place and should not be compared to one-another. Try cooking a brisket, rack of ribs or pork butt on a griddle....I'd love to know how to do that. Or maybe I am misinterpreting the comparison post...I admit I am one who prefers a spoken conversation to a text, e-mail or post...I am literal if nothing else...deepest apologies, I know how pedantic I can be.
