Chiappa double 22/410

I like it, I learned to shoot long gun on an old Savage 24 in .22/410. Great little gun took my first squirrel with the. 22, my first partridge with the. 410 and my first deer with a .410 slug.

It's also the reason that to this day I am as good, perhaps better, wingshooting with iron sights over a bead sight.

As far as HD, 3 .36 cal balls from a 000 buck load will certainly ruin someones day if you place em right.

You can get 4 & 5 pellet 000 loads, now.

The Federal Flite Control (marked “pistol” rounds) load is hardened, plated, and will put 3 out of 4 pellets on a silhouette at 50 yards using a 14” Shockwave.

I have a M6 Scout in .22lr/.410 as a bare-bones survival rifle.

45 is larger diameter than 410. Trying to shoot 45 in a gun not designed for it is very dangerous.
True. Chamber on a lot of 410s might not be strong enough. And if the barrel is choked that would be bad. Someone said 410s that are safe for 45LC ar usually marked 452 or 410/45. I'm not sure because I haven't had a 410 in many, many years.

Smith & Wesson Governor .410/.45 ACP/.45 LC Revolver comes to mind. It's a great gun to keep in the night stand, but because of its size and weight carrying concealed is not practical.
