Church attacked in Michigan

I have done training for church security teams. Volunteers from the congregation with a CCW is not enough. Assessed skill levels of the volunteers were dismal. They need proper organization, equipment, training, and skills. All that takes time and money and a real commitment of time. I just last week had someone asking me to train a church team. In light of yesterday I expect to get calls today. We'll see.

the unfortunate thing is, that to this day, there are many places forbidding guns....in some way, it is thier belief that at the very most, it keeps a possible threat from with-in.

meaning...."what if" there is a couple of people that really do not like each other, and they are both there at the same time...??

see where that can go with one or both having guns on them..????

would each agree to different times to be there..???

cutting the chances of a "with-in" shooting down to a minimum...???

"what if" however, one is "lying in wait" for the other to either enter or exit..????

metal detectors, maybe police or armed security guards may be the way to go....and that costs money, cops and security guards do not work for free......
Absolutely no metal detectors. It's a church, not a prison. I am head of security of my church and I wouldn't dream of metal detectors or searches.
I left a church security Facebook group becuase they pushed policies like this. They basally wanted security teams to be mini paramilitary organizations.

Discreet, armed security is what it is needed. Maybe a few unarmed as well, as not every situation warrants deadly force.

Training, training, training.

And people should also be trained in basic first aid, stop the bleed, etc...

Sure, you always have the issue of somethign from within. But that's life. You can't eliminate every possible danger. You just have to be preaged to respond. We can't create a real life Minority Report

then metal detectors should not be allowed in schools or airports as well, by your way of thinking.

its a deterrent, at least in my view..carry a weapon into a place, you're gonna get lit up like a christmas tree.

Don Lemon joins anti-ICE protesters storming Minnesota church service in chaotic scenes as stunned pastor blasts 'unacceptable' stunt

Protesters interrupted Sunday service at Cities Church in St Paul, angrily demanding 'ICE out' and accusing a senior leader of the church of working with the agency.
One demonstrator said they were 'demanding justice for' Renee Good, the 37-year-old Minneapolis mother fatally shot by ICE agent Jonathan Ross earlier this month.

Wonder if there was Church Security and if so, what happened.

Psalm 82:4

I am just about completely fed up with these asshole “protestors”. They scream “rights and Justine” for their cause de jour, completely ignoring rights and justice for anybody else. George Floyd was a thug until the left canonized him. Same folks were pro Palestine when Israel struck back after being attacked, were pro Iran when Israel and the USA thumped them, were screaming “no kings” and then a few weeks later had their panties in a knot because a tin horn dictator in Venezuela gets taken down. Now their mad because the government is Finally doing its job and enforcing our law and they’re super upset that one of their “peaceful protestors” got blown away after harassing law enforcement all day and then, when that didn’t work, trying to run over an LEO with a car-(and the Same LeO had been drug by a similar a hat last year. I’d love to see the feds break out water cannon and soak the turds when the kemps are in their teens😊

This is one of the clearest examples of the undiluted evil the political left chooses to ally themselves with.

The people they hate have no rights whatsoever, in their darkened minds. It's perfectly acceptable to terrorize a religious service if it benefits their political position.

They "expose" the personal information of those they disagree with hoping that another person who agrees with them will take violent action against them or their families. Their leaders sit back and click their tongues when that type of terrorism happens, claiming they aren't responsible for the actions of the sycophants they whip up into an irrational, hate-fueled frenzy.

Like the mob boss who orders the hit, the leaders of this lunatic cult very much want their opponents dead. They lack the personal courage to do the act themselves and are quite willing to allow someone else do the actual dirty work.

The people who are part of terrorist acts like this are depraved, dangerous criminals. For some reason, Minnesota has become a haven for these terrorists. Political corruption certainly creates a climate ripe for this behavior. Embracing people from terrorist countries who haven't renounced that nation and the terrorist ideology they champion (while allowing them to hold elected office) creates a fertile breeding ground for domestic terrorism.

    The words are bleeping killed, and that's fine by me! (both the word killed and the action of doing so) Sorry brother but "unlived" sounds too much like leftist, soft soap, sh....carp speak to me. Thankfully I don't live where it is illegal to carry in a house of worship and if I do it correctly the church doesn't know. I'll take responsibility for me and mine.

Likewise…!

And y’all have noticed how all the $$$$ tampon Tim and his buddies mismanaged has disappeared from the news while the anti-ice dupes spew their BS.

I can tell you and it's not political for both left and right are equally as guilty. Same reason as Lewiston Maine. We import a large number of refugees, who congregate together to be with people that they know and are like themselves (who wouldn't want to do that in a strange land?) then we, by law, don't allow them to work for X number of years so we put them on the dole. All to soon everyone on the dole stats to believe that it is owed to them and they want/expect/demand more and more. Add to that "the melting pot" is now a bad thing. Not one is expected to assimilate anymore. My Grandfather came from Germany between the world wars. I don't speak German nether did dad. "We are American We speak English." said My Grandfather. Three of his sons fought in WWII all for the USA, two in Europe and one in the Pacific, while Their great aunt was imprisoned because she had sent money to Germany during WWI to help support her family. Just rounded up and away you go.
JMHO. Don't care if you came here yesterday of your family has been hanging around for hundreds of years. "If you don't love it leave it"

Amen😞. My mother’s grandparents on her father’s side came from Germany in the 1880’s. They spoke German at home for their entire lives, BUT they spoke English everywhere else. My grandfather was, literally, a babe in arms when they came to America. When he was a young man he married my grandmother and took his young bride home to Colorado to meet his family. His oldest brother said “where’d you tell them you were born Pete?” Grandpa said “Des Moines”, and they all cracked up. He’d been told he’d been born in Des Moines but he was actually born in Bavaria-his parents wanted him to be an “American”, which was why he’d been told Des Moines. He too had three children who went to serve in WW2. In those days people came here to be Americans-now many come for the free stuff we’re dumb enough to give them while still clinging to their native country.
