My kids got to meet Mr. Belt.Mom hit me over the head as a teenager while she was making spaghetti sauce. I cussed at my brother within reach of mom….
“THWAK” on the top of my head
Yelped another explicative.. “thwak” again.. mom sprayed sauce all over the ceiling swinging that spoon.
I had to get a ladder and clean it all up![]()
Stopped at the Bg Texan, traveling from Ft. Sill to Phoenix in 1968. Ate that sucker. Made me eat the side stuff too. Was a young stud then and hungry. At 80, not gonna happen today!sounds like "the big texan" in amarillo, tx. eat a 72oz steak in "x" amount of time and it's free. just not getting a 2nd 1. back when i could put down my fair share amount of food there was a place in sallisaw, ok that sold a 2# chicken fried steak. not 1 that came with a time limit, but i could never eat all of it and the sides that came with it. if you get hungry try "the claim jumper" in la (could be in a few other cities?). 2 choices on how to pay, 1, menu prices or pay by the pound............what that means is you weigh yourself going in and weigh after you eat. unless you pee a bunch they're getting free money off the liquids you drink.
I'd spend $150 on a dress shirt if I thought it would make me look like James Bond or John Wick, but that would only make me look like Larry the Cable Guy going to a friend's wedding.
