The pursuit of a stolen car along I-96 in Livonia, Michigan, on Thursday led police to use a grappler to bring the vehicle to a stop, according to the Livonia Police Department."The Grappler is an innovative safety tool that deploys a high-strength net around a vehicle's rear tire and axle, stopping it within seconds," the department said in a statement.After the driver made multiple attempts to break free by reversing and accelerating, the vehicle's rear axle was ripped off - permanently disabling it.Three people were arrested, and no injuries were reported.
