Daffy Zone…..

Yeh, but in those days we didn't really care too awfully much about the price of gas. I'm thinkin' back to about the early 70's when gas was.24-.25 cents per gallon. And then when a local gas war broke out it would sometimes drop to a dime.
It was an 88

I was in my 20s when I was racing and we used my 250 to tow the boat around. It would pull no issues, but wasn't fast enough. Even with the 460 churning up the pavement...

So, being young and insane, we plumbed up twin turbos to the 460. Well, then we were limited by the transmission ratio so we put a 3 speed auxiliary gearbox in it. We soon enough found out we had a bunch more motor than gears, so we installed a two speed rear end in it.

Thus begins the speed ticket phase of my young life....

The little so and so!

While reading an article last night about fathers and sons, memories came flooding back to the time I took me son out for his first pint. Off we went to our local pub only two blocks from the cottage.
I got him a Guinness. He didn’t like it, so I drank it.
Then I got him a Kilkenny’s. He didn’t like that either, so I drank it.
Finally, I thought he might like some Harp Lager! He didn’t. I drank it.
I thought maybe he’d like whiskey better than beer so we tried a Jameson’s. Nope, he didn’t. I drank it.
In desperation, I had him try that rare Redbreast, Ireland’s finest. He wouldn’t even smell it.
What could I do but drink it!
By the time I realized he just didn’t like to drink, I was so hammered I could hardly push his stroller back home...
