The only Med that I take that I think might actually kill me if I stop taking it is an
extremely low dose of metoprolol.
I'm on a really low dose of apixaban and I can replace that with Aspirin.
I live here. That is actually our first defense.
All of my neighbors have rifle ranges on their property.
The Lord Humongous is going to have to get through a
bunch of people with guns before he gets here.
ETA just living out here requires some preparedness.
Just our basic pantry would look like Doomsday prepping to people who live in the city.
We keep probably more than a month's worth of our medications on hand.
We keep livestock (chickens) if we rationed it to the USDA 2000 calories a day, we could probably survive on the eggs indefinitely.
Most importantly for us, we have a backup power source and a back of heating system. Actually our furnace
is our back up heating system.
Bottom line is we're pretty well set up
