Even though the problem seems to be limited to the P320, the fact still remains that Sig is doubling and tripling down on their stance that it "isn't their fault" and that has certainly alienated a LOT of their customers. It seems like Sig overall has taken a big hit lately.

And this whole issue seems to have created a rift between Sig fans; some of you are standing by them, others are jumping ship, and it has created a lot of debate. I'm genuinely curious where this forum stands on the issue.

Now, I'm not asking if you trust their products (excluding the P320 of course), but do you still trust and respect the BRAND?

Eehhh, I am certainly not a Sig fanboi, but I’m not selling my P229.

I do believe there is more to the story on these pistols, but I also don’t really care at the end of the day.
There's absolutely no need for you to sell your perfectly fine 229. But when it comes time to buy a new SD handgun, would the current issue make you veer away from the Sig case at the LGS?

First impressions are everything to me... I bought my first Sig years ago, the 320, and nothing but problems. Even thou I sent it back and they replaced the issued part. I can't trust a sig anymore as a personal carry. Now I agree I may be wrong, and maybe they got better guns now, but I just can't go back. Will always wonder if this sig will work when I need it to. jmo

Kinda why I'm a Springfield fan. My first Springfields were 3 XD's .40 cal for the job. One carry, one backup, and one extra in the cruiser. Carried and fired them for 20+ years till retirement... never one jam or issue. So, first impressions.

Definitely not a good feeling to have in something like a firearm. Especially if you're going to rely on it to save your life someday.

Considering that I just bought this…

Yes, I still trust them.

I like certain models and like everything Murphy can be doesing in many places. I have a Sig 232ss and it has been valued at $900 as it's rate 97 percent. Original case with 2 sets of grips, ankle holster, one left hand holster, one right hand and 3 mags. That is in safe keeping for my daughter when I am called home.

At this stage of my life, shooting career, gun buying, striker fired pistols are like ever lasting gobstoppers, I only have one and one is all that I need. The only pistol on my radar is possibly an EMP or detective sized Hi Power, and only revolver is a S&W Ultimate Jframe.

All that said, with my experience and that of those i know personally and trust what they claim then yes I would buy another Sig. Most likely another P365 variant probably a Legion. No other striker pistol in a comparable size shoots as well, in my hand, and is as reliable as the P365Xl.

Just my experience.

I have always liked their 22X series and have carried a 220 45 228 and 229 as well as I own a personal 226 Legion in9mm love them and would buy one today (pondering a M11A1)

I like the way the 320 fits and shoots but I won’t buy one. Had a 320 X5 Legion but some it several years ago because it sat in my safe. AND I wanted a 2022 Springfield Operator 1911 that I actually shoot a lot. Had enough other 9mm M&Ps and Glocks that did what I wanted them to as well as my 226 Legion.

It’s not my business but if I was running things at SIG I would get rid of a specific person and revamp the 320 line with a improved striker design (maybe a safe action type trigger) and call it a 420 or something

I trust Sig, but I won't buy a P320. I don't know if it is the design of the pistol or if it's much ado about nothing. But there is just too much out there to ignore it. That being said, I have 3 Sig pistols. A P365XL, a P938 Legion and the P322. Haven't had any problems with any of them. I have heard that the P365 had a couple issues when it first came out, but have heard those issues were addressed quickly and haven't resurfaced. The P320 FCU design is not the same as their other models, so the P320 issues really shouldn't bleed into the entire line of Sig firearms.
